Korea’s Executive wing is located in the Blue House. We were fortunate enough to be granted a tour of the grounds, and didn’t even need to pretend that we were on the guest list for a state dinner!
Most of the information came to us through headsets, so we were a bit limited in our ability to ask questions and interact with our guide.
The past President of Korea had pushed for a plan to move the capital to the southern part of the country, in hopes of boosting business in that region. The plan, however, hasn’t gained much traction with the current administration, and it’s likely the Blue House will remain in its current location.
Like most of our visits in Korea, we left with a nice souvenir; a Green Growth coffee mug.
